i believe what Balyor was trying to do was ethical and i find nothing wrong with it. People were complaining how this was a tactic to boast Balyor's rating but you know what, who cares. It not hurting anyone. It giving students a chance to knock off some money off their yearly payments. i wished i had this chance to make $300 on books. A lot of kids would be very thanful by this so i think that this was a good idea.

the main points of the article in a sense if trying to accuse Baylor university for increasing its ranking by giving away vouchers more freely. their goal as a school is to be the highest ranked with the smartest students and the best sat scores. which is the common goal for most university and schools worldwide. debating whether this action of free vouchers depending upon if the student retakes their sat exam and an increase in the voucher if they score higher is not unethical. trying to improve the condition of the school and its academic progress shouldnt be measured by the bribe given to students to try harder. if the school is know for high sat scores on the second attempt its still good as saying their student sat average is quite high. the govt gives out educational funding, is that unethical? no here its more ethical because at least they know the students are doing what they are told and reattempting to take the exam

i thought that baylor was being ethical. he was trying to enable students to come to his college by giving them money to pay for the college. Every college student can use some money and baylor found a way to use that to his advantage. It benefitted both the school and the college student which is the way things work in this world; you dont get something for nothing. Everyone else is just jealous they didnt think of it first!

Baylor offered financial incentives to get their freshmen to raise their SAT scores in an effort to raise the status of the school in the rankings. This is not something that is typically done, but I don't think it's unethical. They didn't fake the grades, or help the students on the exam. Apparently, students just need some good motivation. But the fact remains that they did it on their own, and if they were able to get those scores and they just needed a little push, what's so wrong about giving them that push. I honestly don't see why this is a big deal at all. I think the other schools are probably just upset they didn't think of this first. It's all just a smart way of getting kids to try harder and maximize their potential. I actually think it's a great thing. By doing this, the students see how well they could really do, and maybe that'll give them a boost of confidence that will push them to do better throughout the rest of their schooling. So not only do I think it's ethical, I think it's absolutely great.
