briskly walking down my neighborhood can turn into a small journey. friends and family all live within walking distance so wherever i walk i am are bound to bump into someone that i know which can lead to so an unplanned destination. the walk can be quite relaxing. with the fresh air breezing onto your body can really relax myself. my area has a lot of cats so you will also come across some cats in the neighborhood. as everyone knows new york is one of the busiest cities so you will always hear cars driving by and people walkin by on their cell phones carrying loud conversation. depending on the day of the week the smell can be quite offensive. if its on a monday and i walk by the odor is strong. thats when they pick up the garbage. but other then that you can sometimes smell some peoples dinner as you walk by. one thing i really enjoy is going for a jog at night in my neighborhood. i consider my area pretty safe do go running sometimes when the weather permits. another positive aspect about my area is that all main retail stores are within close range of my house so thats very convenient.i have the train station a few blocks away and the bus stop a block away.

walking down my street, i can always see someone i know, whether it's a neighbor or just a friend. where i live, everyone is like family. we all look out for one another and take care of each other. its very quiet on saturday and less busy of cars so its always a good time to sit on your porch with a book and relax. during the rest of the week, youll find 10 year old boys playing in my backyard after school. all of the houses on the block have a connecting backyard so its like one long field. the neighborhood smell is like an aroma of heaven. everyone is cooking something delcoius for dinner; its like a restaurant but the menu is alive. i believe my neighborhood is safe and very loving too. were like one big family and we share many meomires together as well as countless happy occasions.

walking in my neighborhood is like taking a trip into the past. since my family have lived in canarsie for more then a couple of years, many things have changed and people come and gone. when i walk down the street i see all those things agaian, specially the high school right next to my house. all those people i use to hangout with all graduated, and now i see all the memories of how my friends and i comeing out of the school and going to the Armando's pizza place laughing and playing around. every where you go there will always be a triger of some old memory. All the kids are now all grown up, like the cute little twins that live across my house, i use to see them all cuddled up going to pre schooland now i see them going to junior high school still looking cute.
the most loving part of my neighborhood is that there is alwaya a fire truck passing by at the middle of the night honking. i just love the sound of it and since we live on the main street and my room is in the front its extra loud there. i just love this place.

As I walk out my apartment building, I look to the left to see the beach, as the sun is setting the colors of the sky mix together to make a beautiful harmony, for that one second its heaven. The breeze from the beach the older people walking up the board walk the sun setting it’s just a perfect image. If only time could stand still, how I would love to stay on the beach. I say to myself “this is what paradise is like”, a few steps from the beach quietness. But then I am disturbed by a loud thumping sound, it breaks my moment. As I down the stairs it is a man in a car playing music really loud, he thinks its cool but he is disturbing. As I continue to walk I see the base ball where children with hopes of becoming the next sports star practice their heart out. As I walk across the parking lot I smell fried Korean chicken from the deli where I work. It isn’t as bad as it seems, leaving in a beachfront apartment but it seems once you leave the beach paradise ends and reality checks in..
